Smoked oak flooring

We checked the level of the concrete before we started fitting smoked oak flooring. It was sound and flat. There was no need for levelling. Then we applied Sika Primer MB for consolidation ability and for moisture barrier. The primed concrete was left to dry overnight. When the direction of the flooring was decided we started the fitting by applying the Sika Bond Liquid Batten system. We used wedges along side the walls to keep the solid oak floor tight together. Once the whole room was fitted with smoked oak flooring we kept all pegs in place until next day to let the glue set. Lastly the new skirting and the oak trims were fitted in the doorways.

The finished smoked oak flooring is stunning. Here is the picture!
