Beautifully made solid unfinished oak flooring and engineered oak flooring. Floorboards are either planed only or filled and sanded, ready to be finished with stain oil or lacquer of your choice
Oak as a flooring solution is much desired for its durability and a beautiful grain. We offer high quality unfinished oak flooring which is always sustainably sourced. All our flooring products are PEFC certified.
Our unfinished oak flooring collection is available in solid and engineered format with a smooth surface. The floorboards are available as planed with open knots or with knots that are filled and sanded. The floorboards are not finished with any oil or lacquer. These untreated floorboards are usually finished on site once they are installed with a choice of clear hardwax oil, stains or lacquer.
The floorboards are available in long length. We guarantee that at least 70% of the boards are between 1700-2400mm long!
Unfinished solid oak flooring usually comes in 20mm thickness but we have a 14mm option available on request. The range is available in various widths, starting from 150mm to 205mm.The floorboards are micro-bevelled on the two long sides and have tongue and groove on all four sides for easy installation. There are stress grooves on the bottom side of the boards to minimise the tension in the plank and warping. Solid oak flooring must be seasoned/ acclimatised for a minimum of one week before installation.
Our unfinished engineered oak boards come as three-layered or multilayered planks made of plywood and softwood. Each layer is stacked in a cross-grain configuration and bonded together under heat and pressure. The top layer is a real solid oak veneer with a thickness of 4mm or 5mm. Made from several layers of bonded hardboard, it’s ideal for combining with underfloor heating. It has enhanced internal balance and reduced risk of twisting or warping. Seasonal movement is minimal, while dimensional stability through seasonal humidity and temperature fluctuations is superb.
Engineered unfinished oak flooring usually comes in 15mm thickness with 4mm veneer and 20mm with 5mm veneer on top. The range is available in various widths, starting from 155mm to 225mm. The floorboards are micro-bevelled on the two long sides and have tongue and groove on all four sides for easy installation.
Our unfinished oak flooring, solid oak flooring and unfinished engineered oak flooring is available in three grades: Prime, Natural and Rustic.
Prime grade is our highest grade oak floor. This flooring is selected by hand for its fine figure and consistency of light, creamy colour. It provides a sophisticated and uniform look with small pin knots, either isolated or in clusters. This is a sophisticated-looking floor but the small knots will leave no doubt that it is real wood.
Selected by hand, Natural grade is more vibrant with plenty of life and colour. This adds traditional charm and a warm look to your floor. It contains the natural, beautiful characteristics of the timber. Larger knots, some sapwood and small colour variation from light to medium cream should be allowed.
Rustic grade is our best selling unfinished oak flooring grade. This flooring is even more vibrant than Natural grade. The flooring adds traditional charm and a warm look to your floor. It contains large knots, sapwood and colour variation. This flooring offers a real traditional look.
